On Friday, May 11, 2018, the US Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) heralded the launch of its newly redesigned website.
VITEMA's primary responsibility is to ensure the territory's resilience to disasters. After the historically damaging hurricane season of 2017, the population of the Virgin Islands needed a new website solution that would provide visitors rapid access to vital emergency preparedness and response information.
Upon award of the contract to maintain VITEMA’s website on 4/20/2018, OmniSystems engineers worked diligently and collaboratively with VITEMA to design and implement Phase 1 of the user and mobile-friendly site which will provide a seamless and consistent end-user experience across all end-user platforms.
Using state-of-the-art features, VITEMA visitors will be immersed in the critical preparedness knowledge provided by VITEMA through the site’s enhanced navigation and functionality.
OmniSystems is proud to have assisted VITEMA in the implementation of this crucial solution for both the agency and the Virgin Islands community. Stated Ian Tomlinson, founder and co-owner of OmniSystems, “We look forward to working collaboratively with VITEMA to leverage the website in bringing timely and critical information as well as new capabilities to the citizens of US Virgin Islands.”
